My love of fitness began at age 13 with running on the treadmill. At this time, I didn’t know that strength training and stretching routine should be incorporated with cardio routines. I continued with just cardio until I became very thin with no muscle definition whatsoever. At this time, family members started calling me “Skinny Mini” while friends couldn’t’ get over how small I was. I took these names and remarks as insults as I wanted to be seen as strong and fit, not skinny.
Over time I began to read fitness magazines, which snowballed into fitness books on how to build a strong body. After following the advice as best I could, friends, family and even strangers began to tell me I looked like I had an athletes build. This was shocking but exactly what I was going for.
Now I have friends coming to me for advice about how to look fit and shapely. This led to my interest in taking the Can-Fit-Pro Personal Training Specialist course so I could start training people with similar goals. My goal is to help people reach what is their ideal body or fitness goal, such as a long and lean body shape, more muscle definition, or better athletic ability for a sport or just in life.
